Forthcoming Workparties 2010

The dates for the GCS monthly work parties for the next 12 months, May 2010 – April 2011 are shown below. In principle, it will be the last Thursday and the last Saturday of each month, but there will be exceptions, which are indicated in italics. If there are changes to any of these dates, good notice will be given when possible. The tasks are indicated for only the next few months, and will be updated on a monthly basis.

2010

Aug: 26 & 29 BW culvert clearance: location to be advised

Sept: 23 & 25 Tasks as required: location to be advised

Oct: 16 & 17 BITM weekend: Clearence from Bridge 16 towards Lock 8

Nov: 25 & 27 Tree clearance: location to be advised

Dec: 9 & 11 Tasks as required: location to be advised

2011

Jan: 27 & 29 Review of tasks in 2010.

Feb: dates to be confirmed; possible BITM weekend
Mar: 24 & 26 Woolsthorpe: preparation for new operating season
Apr: 28 & 30 Tasks as required: location to be advised

We will aim for a work start time of 09.00hrs each working day, with individuals providing their own PPE and lunch/drinks.
