Ben Nevis and Neptune's Staircase
Perhaps it's because it's surrounded by big hills that Ben Nevis, the biggest hill in the UK, does not look particularly imposing. However, here it is, all 4406ft of it:-

OK, you can't see the top 1500ft or so for cloud. This, we were told is fairly typical - conditions can change dramatically in minutes. As luck would have it, early the following morning, the cloud base had lifted:-
