Laggan Locks
Laggan Locks are a staircase of two, though only the top lock is usually in use. The following picture, taken on the return leg, is of the hotel boat, "Lord of the Glen".

Maintenance work was being carried out on one of the middle gates, so those craft that were able, had to leave the lock through a single gate. The next picture shows the "Vic 32" which appeared as the Clyde puffer, "The Vital Spark" in the TV series, Para Handy a few years ago.

Finally, it was our turn to enter the lock - this is the view looking back towards Laggan Avenue.

We were now roughly two thirds the way along our trip from the east coast to the west. Onward then to Loch Lochy and a big hill.......
