The Grantham Canal Partnership

  • To maintain and improve the Canal to the benefit of all local communities
  • To sustain the environmental and conservation features of the major central area of the Canal
  • To promote proper development at the Grantham and Nottingham ends to develop, with the greatest care, a level of income from the Canal necessary to sustain it on a self-sufficient basis
  • To encourage the type and quality of visitor and activity which will make the Canal, in representational terms, exemplary of its type - to include a wide section of user groups
  • To restore the Canal to full navigation
